German translation updated / added. btw. There are many differences between meaning of action and translation. In future, I will check this and update when necessary. Example: Queue Album On Song Play Action -> Ganzes Album abspielen this is not the action, because queue means "Warteschlange" and "enqueue" means "einreihen" (in die Warteschlange) In this case "Ganzes Album" is incorrect, because there is a queue... The other thing is... Example: "playlist" as German translation for "Wiedergabeliste"? In my mind, we have a German translation and whe should use German words. In this case "Wiedergabeliste".

thanks for updating the german translation.. I did not do any of the original so if things are wrong you will have to just make the adjustments on get localization
i believe playlist was left as playlist because Wiedergabeliste is a very long word and would take up a lot of space in the navigation bar. The nav bar entries are meant to be short (in the english version for example.. i just left the smart playlist view as being labeled "smart" because "smart playlists" would be too long

You are right. The problem is that the most of german words are too long regarding the UI. I will update my translations during next days. With "queue" we have the same problem -> "Warteschlange" has too many chars. I will check my translation and I will take better words resp. the original words when needed.

if there are any common abbreviations, those could be used as well as an alternative

yeah queue is equal to the active playlist. Having "Playlist" and "Playlists" seemed to confuse people and i guess most other players use the term queue (i grew up on winamp for the pc where it was always called playlist)

is Bibliothek the best work for library? Isnt Bibliothek the library like the facility you visit that has books? Thats not the same type thing as the library in media library
How is "Media Library" typically translated in other apps? (google translate gives me "Mediathek")

You shouldn’t translate things yourself (via google or something). Just keep the English strings until someone translates them – Germans (and I’m sure most others too) will understand them. Translating "Tracks" to "Strecken" is kind of funny… That might be a race track or railroad track, but not a track on an album. And even if Google got the got the meaning right: Their translations rarely sound good/natural. Hi hdk I updated several entries for checking... I cannot see the entries (veto) on discussion board (anyone answered there)... please answer here and I can see your hints. Feel free to change my entries (it's only a suggestion). @gonemad A "mediathek" is a synonym for a "multimedia library", here in Germany, TV stations use a "mediathek" on Internet. A "Bibliothek" is the correct word for a collection of books, but also for another kind of collection; in this case albums. It is a classic word for a traditional collection. "Mediathek" a modern word, mostly used for "Internet multimedia files" such streams from TV stations etc. A "media library" is "Medienbibliothek" in classic German translation. "Mediathek" means two words "Media" AND "Bibliothek". You see, the second word is "Bibliothek" too. "Mediathek" is a word like "Handy" (mobile phone).

okay
I dont think there has been any discussions on the site (besides some for the japanese translations)
hdk is fairly busy so i dont think he'll respond on here.
Anyway I plan on pushing out the next small update tonight so you'll be able to see the translation updates in app

@gonemad Fine. It's better to see the translations directly on device.

Hi gonemad I've found two little issues @german translation. 1. When I use the 2band EQ, I can read "Niedrig" and "Hoch" instead of "Low" and "High". I know, the translation on translation board is "Niedrig" and "Hoch", but is "Low" and "High" better than "Bass" and "Treble" ("Tiefen" / "Höhen")? In this case, it's better to use the same English words "Low" / "High" (when you use it on English version). I changed the entries to "LOW" and "HIGH" again on translation board. 2. Mainsettings All entries are German, except "Library". Can you set this to "Bibliothek", please (similar to the sub entries of "library")? On translation board, I cannot change this entry to "Biblothek" (I've translated it), but I can vote for "Bibliothek". Thanks 3. Queue vs. playlists I will check the entries for "queue" again. In my mind, the differences between queue and playlists are too great...

Thank you. For better understanding, I will use "queue" for queue not "playlist" for queue. In my mind the better decision, because we have the origin "playlist"-word for m3u etc. playlists. Now, we have unique words for queue and playlists on German translation. In addition, I've changed other little "issues" (for better understanding).
