All details about a show or movies show in the area at the bottom next to the thumbnail. You would have to figure out how to get what you wanted to be recognized as aa movie and put it in the title name if you wanted the match info in the guide. I dont see why emby wouldnt classify it as a movie if you added it to a movie library

1) All albums have years associated with them, even compilations. You can use the custom metadata to have year with 0 display something else if you so choose. gonemadmusicplayer.proboards.com/thread/1066/gmmp-3-custom-metadata-info $ifequal(%yr%,0,,%yr%) or something like that to display a blank if 0 2) I've tried scrolling in the past and it just doesnt work well. Google's implementation is pretty bad. No plans on adding this 3) When something is played in GMMP its put into the queue. GMMP does not keep track of what was selected to add things to the queue.. just the contents of the queue. Example.. its not possible to track position played in a playlist if you added 3 different playlists to the queue... or you played a playlist and then used "play next" to add an album in the middle

I will have a look if mp3tag automatically changes this when saving new tags. You can change this behavious in the settings for mp3tag. File>Options>General>_Preserve file modification time when saving tags you would NOT want that enabled, right?

to make changes external from gmmp*
using in app tag editor will auto update
modifying a file externally should change its last modified date however some syncing tools manipulate it when transferring over to your device

the sort order selected inside the smart playlist is how the tracks that meet the smart playlist criteria are sorted. This is used when playing / enqueue / play next / add to playlist / etc and when viewing the smart playlists grouped by tracks. However if you using the group by feature.. that grouping is purely a visual thing and will use whatever sorting option is selected for the view. Like if grouping by artist and sort order in the playlist is set to "date added" (a field not associated with artists), how would you sort a list of artists by it? How do you sort a list of albums by trackname?

yea that's how its designed. Despite what it looks every view is not unique. Everything other than the top views are smart playlist views under the hood. And you really need to specify.. you are talking about recently added ALBUMS, not recently added smart playlist. Recently added shows songs and can have a different sort order than the albums list.. which is what is shown in my screenshot. Changing its sort order has no impact on the album list

working just fine for me imgur.com/a/xs83qtCif you are talking about the Recently added albums and albumartist -> album list. Yea that is the same view. Sorting is view specific. You have the top level lists which get their own sort.. and then filtered lists which get their own sort. AlbumArtist -> Albums list is a album lists filtered by the specific albumartist and will have the same sort as any other filtered album list view

the sort tags are used only for sorting.. they will not display anywhere other than the tag editor
If you have a song with the tags: artist=The Artist B artistsort=Artist B, The along with 2 others with artist tags of Artist A and Artist C.. your list should look like
Artist A The Artist B Artist C
"But I don't think using two different sort tags with a separator will show a single Artist without a separated pair. GoneMAD can confirm but I have to assume the association is built when scanning for the library database, and need to match for these to be filled."
Multiple sort tags (of the same type of sort) are not supported. It would treat it as a single sort tag with a semi colon in it. Pretty sure. Sort tags were not part of the original design so when i added them in i made it work as best i could with the existing design, so there are some limitations when you get into advanced use cases.... either way if im reading the post right, he wants to display the sort tags.. which is not what the sort tags are for
edit 2:
You cannot use sort tags to associate a song with a different artist. When an artist is added to the database its added along side its artist sort field. All associations are done via the artist tag, but when it goes to sort the lists and you have the sort modifier on, it will sort by artistsort instead of artist

ArtistSort is only use for sorting I tried the above described procedure for remixers and it doesn't work. I tried to set the Artistsort to "Martin Garrix; Nicky Romero" and even only to "Nicky Romero", but it still shows only under the Artist "Martin Garrix". I really don't get what this field actually does. I understand that it's intended to show for example a Track with the Artist Tag "The Beatles" under the Artist "Beatles" when the Artistsort Tag ist set to "Beatles". But then why doesn't it work showing a Track with the Artist Tag "Martin Garrix" under the Artists "Nicky Romero" and "Martin Garrix" (or only under the Artist "Nicky Romero") when setting the Artistsort accordingly to "Martin Garrix; Nicky Romero" (or only "Nicky Romero"). did you turn on the sort modifier to use the sort tags? It doesnt use them by default

by definition, every song on an album has the same album artist. Its the purpose of the tag. So yes anything you want grouped together needs the same album artist. As for the ArtistA,ArtistB. That is just how the database return the query.. its a limitation of sqlite (or at least the version android uses) gonemadmusicplayer.proboards.com/thread/1066/gmmp-3-custom-metadata-infoCustom metadata allows you to format the data however you want.. so you could set up something to replace commas with comma + space if you really wanted to. There is likely a post somewhere on here explaining how to do it
