honestly sounds like a corrupt installation. Thats usually the case when portions of the code that i havent changed experience odd behaviors for just one specific user. I will give it a look tonight on my devices

Thanks. Yeah, this is odd indeed. I've gone back to 3.2.9 for now, just to be safe.

Same for me: - Backup menu is gone - About says: Unlocker not installed
Also the notification updates still aren't fixed for me (same behavior as before).
Tell me if you need another logcat

OH. Backup menu is gone because its on a trial (not sure why its flagged as trial for you). I forgot i hide the backup menu, so people dont abuse the trial

actually i may know the reasoning it it shows as a trial. I recall a year or 2 finding out that when targetting api level 30+, the api for verifying signatures starts failing if installed outside of the playstore. That may be the culprit. I'll have to look into that
As for the notifications im out of ideas.. are you referring to being out of sync or being more than one notification (and that extra notification wont update). More than one notification is an android bug that i cannot fix. Google has fixed it on their pixel builds at least

I'm referring to the notifications out of sync (not updating tags/cover), as I mentioned in the other thread. I still only got one notification, no Problem with that.

3.3 introduced a strange Problem to me:
Whenever I run GMMP in background and the timer app gives an alarm, GMMP pauses for the time the timer rings but is stuck after that for ~10 seconds. When I open GMMP or try to use the notification I can't press pause or play again it takes these 5-10 seconds to get unstuck.
However when I have GMMP open in the foreground it behaves like it should (pause when the timer rings and auto resume playback when the timer ends).
Let me know if you need logs or anything

did you clear the apps data / cache? If you are android 11 or newer the notification is not from GMMP, but a system level media notification

did you clear the apps data / cache? If you are android 11 or newer the notification is not from GMMP, but a system level media notification But the stuck state has nothing to do with the notification, it is stuck even when I open gmmp after the interruption from the timer app. I did not clear cache/data. Will try to clear cache though and see if it changes anything. Also I got some random messages "GMMP stopped working" sometimes since 3.3 when not using gmmp. What I also noticed: Gmmp somehow creates a directory on the internal sdcard called: /storage/emulated/0/gmmp/x So in conclusion it writes sth. into this directory: /storage/emulated/0/storage/emulated/0/gmmp/x There's only one cryptic file in there though, but this definitely seems like a bug.

I also was getting multiple GMMP crash reports on my Samsung after updating, but they appear to have stopped after I cleared the app cache for GMMP. I also see the new storage folder.

everything written to the gmmp folder is intentional
