iBasso still ignoring the followup for NDA?
By the way, OT, any idea where does the dx100 music player / media service stores its database for the music? I'm trying to use mediascan root to stop the media scan during startup so save boot up time and the microsd's life. I was able to disable but the music player shows nothing, so I need to run the media scan manually to see all music. Maybe you have a workaround?

RE: any idea where does the dx100 music player / media service stores its database for the music? maybe it is possible to "run" the apk off an emulator? if not, it's ok many thanks

already did (I think a month ago) with a sample of an NDA off the web. Probably, you could share with us the NDA template? Then, when I will be "reminding" iBasso again, I will include the template . It would also be nice, if you would resend your message with NDA template to iBasso. I am not sure that this will work, but if we do nothing, then we will never get the API, for sure Perhaps, if the template is more or less clearly written, GMMPsoftware could also fill it from his side and email iBasso?

I cannot fill out a legal document for another company, its their intellectual property that they want to protect. Based on how they've acted so far I believe this to be a lost cause. It also sounds like their SDK/API is something low level / immature if they need an NDA. A normal API is usually just an interface to interact with the system and doesnt contain any real IP that needs protecting

The advantage of the stock music player is that it can decode hires music natively (24/192) over gingerbread. Maybe the gmmp can be do that without the API?

Maybe the gmmp can be do that without the API? it decodes it fine and already does support 192/24. Android api does not allow playback of anything higher than 16bit/48khz so it has to resample in order to output. Android L is bringing higher quality decoding but that obviously doesnt help a gingerbread device. And no its not possible with an api that gives access to whatever the device uses to output high quality audio

the custom firmware of ibasso has the workaround (for native 24/192) built-in? maybe we can try the gmmp to call those API if you can identify them Not quite sure if the gmmp or the android API does the resampling

My bad, was not able to understand your reply completely. Hmm, maybe when I use the gmmp on my DX100, it is already native 24/192? Any suggestion to know if it is resampled or not?

The SDK/API is required from ibasso in order to use any of the dx100s features.. thats what the majority of this thread is about

thank you for the clarification
I was just thinking if there's really such thing as iBasso API, since the gmmp on my DX100 works fine even volume control, the balance/EQ/bsss boost etc aside from the Limiter being disable though and it stutters while playing and when you browse the database - CPU under-powered.
maybe a GMMP version without the resampler would work too?
