not sure if it would help, the update files of the DX100 is found here: www.ibasso.com/en/download/index.aspmaybe in the meantime, you can de-compile the "whisky" music player? -possible feature for DX100 is enabling the DSF support which is found in its cousin - HDP-R10

Decompilng another app does not help at all (and is actually illegal).. the sdk/api would still be required

We (i.e. members of two DX100 forums ) will try to help in that case

I also sent an email to iBasso to remind them that they promised to provide DX100 API to software development companies "...If the software company is interested in developing their player using our API, they can just contact us..."

try to email them a couple times. Sometimes they reply and sometimes they don't but persistence is helpful

it looks like i'll be able to get my hands on the api as long as i sign an NDA. However keep in mind this is an extremely low priority task. Chromecast and the UI redesign are much higher priority. I will look at the api to see if i'd be able to easily leverage/integrate.. but please be realistic about your expectations as im not going to allocate a month+ worth of a development time for a device running 2.3 that only benefits a handful of users

How much is needed to bump up it up your task list? I'm sure more than a handful of DX100 users wouldn't mind chipping in for your time. This player still is a reference DAP hardware-wise two years after its release, and all it needs to stay on top of its game is better and truly stable UI.

This player still is a reference DAP hardware-wise two years after its release, and all it needs to stay on top of its game is better and truly stable UI. A significant number. My time is pretty costly (My rate would roughly be $100/hr for contract work). I prioritize GMMP work based on what I personally want to see improved (since this is a hobby for me) and what would attract the most new users. Seeing as the software is only 3.99 (which i only get 70% of), it would take a significant amount of potential buyers to justify spending more than a few days on integration (i also do no own a dx100 which could prove to make things difficulty). Once i get my hands on the API i can probably make a rough estimate on what it would take. If its built similar to android's mediaplayer class i could easily make that work with little effort. edit: just for a general stat: Only about 13% of the GMMP userbase is on android 2.3 or early.. according to the dev console at least.. i'll have better stats with google analytics after 1.6 is released
