not sure how the APIs work and interact with the default player, but if those "calls" can be integrated to the GMMP. the DX100 might have the chance to upgrade to a more recent android version?
already bought GMMP before but I'm willing to pay for an in-app upgrade for the DX100

OS updates much more complicated than an api (and nothing an app developer is capable of doing). It sounds like the dx100 will be stuck on 2.3

Just chiming in here to say "ditto" on the interest for seeing GMMP working on my DX100, too.

it guess once the GMMP is working on DX100 and sound quality stays the top notch (it is known that different version of iBasso firmware would have different sound signiture), it will bring DX100 back to the front line in the HI-FI society. There will be tons of discussion around this. I personally wouldnt mind chip in some money to get it going because DX100 is such a well implemented DAP with superb sound quality but limited by its stock music player.
I had compared DX100 with AK120 side by side for about 2 hours and I walked out of the shop with DX100. It has got this sense of airness that i cant forget...

Very interested in this work for the DX100. Please proceed and I would consider providing a donation to implement.

Hi,did they (i.e. iBasso) finally provided you the API code or they are still looking for a reason to refuse?

they said they had to draft up an NDA and that was the last i've heard from them. I"ll have to check my spam filters to see if anything happened to get caught in them

Decompilng another app does not help at all (and is actually illegal) Just wanted to point out that although most shrink-wrap license agreements (EULAs) forbid reverse engineering, the copyright laws in many countries actually allow it. In fact, the entire PC industry has it's origins in reverse engineering of the IBM PC's BIOS by Phoenix Tech. In this particular case, it was done in a 'Clean Room' manner that provided a more legally defensible procedure. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_engineering#Legalityen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_room_designPS, not saying that you should reverse engineer this particular application, just wanted to point out that it is unlikely to be illegal (depending on your country's laws).

I'm in the US. Reverse engineering isn't illegal.. but I was referring to decompilation of copyrighted software which is a bit different en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decompiler#Legality

As I mentioned on Head-Fi in DX100 topic, it would be the best in this situation, if everyone here who is interested to have GMMP on their DX100, will email iBasso (service@ibasso.com) to push them with the preparation of NDA. Just a few sentences stating that you are DX100 owner and you are highly disappointed with delays with providing DX100 API to the developer of the GMMP player. the more such messages they will receive, the faster things will go on... it is anecdotal - iBasso wants GMMP Player to sign a Non-disclosure agreement, but iBasso does not know how to prepare this agreement... (".... we don't have the NDA template...") a month ago they wrote me promising that they will prepare the NDA "..over this weekend..." From time to time I am sending them reminders, but now they ignore them... therefore, if you interested to have GMMP on your DX100, please email iBasso asking them to prepare the NDA promptly and to provide the API code. If, by chance, some of you are lawyers, please, advice iBasso how to prepare the NDA Actually, when iBasso just released DX100 (a few years ago) they promised that after 1 year they will disclose API to developers of software players ... And you see how iBasso behaves now... Doesn't it look as "deliberate misrepresentation" - I am not sure that they would have sold as many D100 units without this claim...
