Nothing was changed with songs / tracks in the new version. The tab/view was always named songs
I dont believe there is an option for disabling all songs on the artist or genre views but that is something i should add

I thought that unchecking the option "Add 'All Songs'" under Preferences->Song Library might hide it, but apparently not.

I saw an update on the Play Store, what's new? And I read a comment about an Italian galaxy note 2 user, he can't access external memory card but I don't know if that's true.

you can view the changelog in the app. prefs -> about gmmp -> changelog
it was just some minor fixes that were causing some weird issues on certain devices
1.4.1 (01/10/13): -Fixed crash that can occur once a song completes -Fixed some potential race conditions -Caught exception thrown by ACRA for initializing more than once -Caught exception when setting custom metadata lines
the external sd card thing was just someone that didnt understand you can add paths to the scanner. In one of the next few updates im going to try to add some of the "standard" external sdcard locations. There is no API call to find them and the location varies device by device.. which is why i never included anything. But enough people msg me about it i'll put in some of the standard ones i've come across

-there is an opus gapless bug very similar to the one posted on teh forums about ogg.. this is an ffmpeg issue so it might not get resolved for awhile (or i redo the opus integration to not use ffmpeg) I just registered here, to write, that a few days ago I noticed, that gapless playback (very important for me) on opus is broken I hope you will be able to fix this bug. Apart from that bug, 1.41 is very brilliant

yea i got that report awhile ago.. its a flaw with ffmpeg (www.ffmpeg.org)
ffmpeg had a similiar issue with ogg in past versions of gmmp (although it was only ever noticeable with a few files) and i had to switch to another ogg decoder to fix the solution
i plan on taking a deep look at ffmpeg to see if i can find out the issue.. otherwise i'll have to directly integrate libopus instead of using ffmpegs integration
i'll fix it in one of the 1.4.x patches.. i figured any support is better than none which is why released 1.4 as is. If you do have any consecutive tracks in opus that i could use for gapless testing.. that would be appreciated.. i cant remember if i got any when i got the initial report

i plan on taking a deep look at ffmpeg to see if i can find out the issue. Good luck! i'll fix it in one of the 1.4.x patches. Great to hear i figured any support is better than none I agree. Every update is welcome. If you do have any consecutive tracks in opus that i could use for gapless testing. Any? Thousands! A big part of my library. That's the reason why it's so important for me. I'll send you two. If you need more, let me know.

If you need a beta tester for re-sampling, let me know. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII on AT&T and and have about 15 albums of 24/96 or 24/192 .flac files I can test with.

All seems OK, except for following: 1. Preference Playlist->Play On Select has no effect (it worked fine in v1.3.17) 2. I get occasional crashes on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7/Stock ICS 4.0.4 (rooted) - device needs restarting to regain control - only happens now and again and only when exiting app - however this also happened with v1.3.17. Otherwise works fine and never crashes until I exit the app. ...Finally worked out the cause of the crashing - it only happens if the GMMP widget is installed on the screen. Doesn't matter if it is being used to control playback or not - lockups occur frequently when it is present. As soon as it is uninstalled from the screen the player becomes 100% stable! I think you are currently rewriting the widget software - so maybe this will solve the issue. Thanks.

When it crashes if u are able to get A log of it using something like catlog (or google how to get a logcat for the phone) it would help out a lot

I have some more fixes coming up for the resampling in the next update. FLAC should work perfect but some of the other formats (wma / alac) have issues in 1.4.8. Its a pain finding good test data for some of these lesser used formats.
