When I want to access the "entry" menu in a list (i.e., press the three dots, e.g. for a track or an album), the result isn't always predicable for me. Sometimes I get the entry menu, but sometimes I activate the scroll bar, causing the list to jump to that position (what would happen if I first fling to start scrolling, and then tap the scroll bar to jump to a specific location). Pretty annoying in a big list...
I suspect that when I try to open the entry menu, I inadvertently do a small up/down movement with my finger, triggering the scroll bar and the jump. Is it possible to increase the scroll threshold, so that the scroll bar isn't triggered as easily?

The button area for the 3 dots is fairly large so if press to the left of it you will probably have better luck. On all my test devices if the list is not scrolling, it will always open the 3 dot menu.. however if the list is currently scrolling its much more likely to activate the scroll bar. I'm not aware of any settings that are tweak able for the list views for this

No, pressing to the left doesn't really help. The thing is, the list isn't currently scrolling when I try to open the menu, but it starts to scroll as I hit the screen, due to a small vertical movement. I have the same problem in Google Play Music, by the way. I suspected there might not be any tweak for it, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Also, it could be useful input when you design the new UI.

This is driving me absolutely mad also. I am as precise as possible when trying to hit the 3 dot menu but it happens every time now i.e. it jumps to a different place in the list as if I was initiating the fast scroll. I try in landscape also but without any better luck.
Is there any way at all to keep this from happening? Something that I could be doing better or different? Thank you very much for any help.

Use a material skin. Holo has a bigger problem with that
