Firts of all, this is a really great music player! I seeked such a player for a long time. I just found it and bought it.  My issue: I want to rate the songs on my phone and then transfer the ratings to the computer. I used Meridian Player before. It shows the ratings near to the files while browsing through the folders. So i could copy the ratings manually to the computer. But this player does only show the rating of one song on the "now playing" tab (as far as I know). Can this app show a list that displays the ratings near to each song? Or is there an other posiibility to transfer the ratings to the computer? It would also be fine if the app could save the ratings to the tags, I already voted for that in trello. |

It would also be fine if the app could save the ratings to the tags, I already voted for that in trello. prefs - general - backup - backup stats That will write a file to the /storage/gmmp folder named stats.bak or stats.xml. something like that. That is an xml file that you can open with a text editor and view the ratings of each filename |

I found it. But this is not very practicable.  Can you please add the ratings to a list view? Maybe in the folder view or queue view. |

Maybe in the folder view or queue view. there are plans to make all the views customizable so you will have to wait until then. Everyone wants something different displayed on each list and its impractical for me to generate all the different combinations |

My idea is to use Automagic and create such flow:
Check a folder with music files. If any file has changed than send it to folder on PC. You can use FTP, Dropbox or maybe something else.

But GMMP doesn't change the files when I rate the songs. :-(
BTW I use AutoMagic, too. :-)

+1 for this feature. Does your music player read rating tags embedded in our songs or is your rating system currently using it's own database for storing the ratings?

ratings only show on now playing, the context menu has an option to show the rating for a specific track. Not ideal i know but thats just how it is
at some point i'll make the lists customizable with what metadata they show.
