Hi all, for some music the built in album search just finds nothing or the wrong covers.
For example I have album Epic from band Despite. When long press on placeholder > Album art > Internet search "Despite Epic" it suggests only wong covers. I thought a google image search is started. When searching directly at google correct cover is instantly found and listed at top position. Sometimes no search starts at all f.ex. typing "Whorion" nothing is found!?!
How is album art internet search working in detail? Where do the covers come from? Is manual typing really independet of ID3 tags? What to do for improving hit rate? Freshly installed V1.64 and all music is scanned in lib.
Please help out. Thanks.

Amazon is used for the search.. so amazon is in charge of returning valid results. If the album you search for is not on amazon it can either return no results or results for other albums that might be close to the query. Both google and bing's image search api costs entirely too much money for a few dollar app to afford
Whatever is in the edit text line is what is used for the search. GMMP will read the tags and try its best to filter out some common nonsense that end up in tags.. but what you are seeing on the line is what is being searched for

OK, thanks for clarifying. Seems like I have to manage some album art manually then... Really looking forward to GMMP V2 - looks even more promising :-)
