I am 99% sure this has nothing to do with your app but I'm wondering if there's something that can be added to the app to deal with it.
My bluetooth headset skips CONSTANTLY and it's not just this app - apparently the issue has to do with the device going to sleep. I think it might also be related to notifications that come in while the device is sleeping. So I can try and force the device to stay awake but with my corporate email on the device I'm not sure I can or would want to do that.
I saw a forum posting that one of the other popular android players has a setting to manually increase the buffer size. Not sure if that would help here.
It's one thing when a podcast skips, it's quite another when you're rocking out to your favorite songs and it starts catching during the best part.

It's one thing when a podcast skips, it's quite another when you're rocking out to your favorite songs and it starts catching during the best part. You can mess with the buffer sizes in GMMP and there are 2 options on keeping the device awake. Prefs -> Audio -> Playback -> Playback Buffer Size. If you are only getting skips here and there this would help.. if it becomes constant stuttering then all the increased buffer would do is delay when the stuttering begins For keeping the device awake.. if you are able to keep the screen on.. then you can enable -> general -> devices preferences -> display wake mode -> set to something other than default. What this will do is keep the screen on while playback is running.. if you are stopped the screen timeout will kick in again. Regardless of the setting you can turn off the display by pressing power. The option under that (Always Keep Device Awake).. which can drain the battery. This will keep a wakelock running to prevent the device from going to sleep. This, however, will stay running as long as GMMP is running, so you would need to fully exit the app via menu -> exit for it to be turned off (when the music service stops, so does the wakelock). I much prefer the keeping the screen on option i mentioned above
