Hi !!!
First of all, GoneMad is a great player and I tend to use it more than Poweramp and Neutron these days.
There are a few suggestions I have regarding the sorting of music in folders. I own more than 1600 music albums and I have always sorted them in traditional folders like the ones in Windows Explorer. Sorting is, like Windows does, by folder/file names. I never cared much about tags and a lot of my older albums do not have any tags at all.
Viewing my music in Album view causes quite a mess - a lot of songs in compilations are shown as separate albums even though they sit in the same folder. In some music players it is possible to "ignore all tags" and my albums get listed as in Windows explorer and sorted by folder name and file names. I wish there was an option like this.
Because I cannot use Album view for correct displaying I switch to Folder Browsing. Unfortunately this feels more like file browsing as there are no thumbnails or album art visible from the directory tree. I think this should be implemented - many other players can do this.
One more feature I would like to see is a group folder, where albums of all chosen music folder are put in to one list. I have music on my internal memory and on my external SD card so my music is listed within 2 folders. I wish there was an option to combine the contents of all folders.
Keep up the good work ! Best Guenther

i'll take it into consideration, but GMMP is really designed for either pure folder browsing, or accurate tagging. There is one setting now that might help a bit.. and that is in the scanner called "multi folder albums". If that is turned off it will never group anything in one folder with a song in another folder but really.. you should start to care about tags.. i understand not wanting to manually tag things yourself.. that always sucks but there are many utilities that automate everything Try out musicbrainz picard: musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Picard You can just select a folder and it will analyze each song and find the tags online and auto tag your files. I personally use a good folder structure too since I have upwards of 90k songs in my collection (so roughly 8k-10k albums).. but i always make sure they are tagged correctly so the metadata shows up correctly in a now playing view

+1 from me too! (I previously requested something like this)
To be able to see image files listed in the file browser/folder tab (as an option in preferences) would be great as I have several pieces of artwork (inside, back covers, booklet pages, etc.) for many of my albums, not just the front cover - to be able to click on an image and have it opened by an external app such as QuickPic would be great - the artwork for an album could then easily be browsed whilst listening to it.
