Hi, I use GMMP on my tablet almost exclusively and therefore am really looking forward to the new UI and features in version 1.5. I have recently noticed Zooper widget ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zooper.zwfree&hl=en) (similar to UCCW) that can be used to create all sorts of custom widgets and layouts. Would you consider outputting/making available the GMMP info/data to Zooper widget such that I (or anyone else) could create a widget that displayed: - Standard media controls - (I think this is already possible)
- Now playing Info - (I think this is already possible)
- Album Art - (I think this is already possible)
- Current queue/playlist
- Non-standard play controls (eg: Randomise, Next Album, etc)
This would allow me to create a fullscreen widget/overlay on my Nexus 7, where half the screen was used for Now playing+queue+media controls and the other half could be navigation, visualisations, Tablet talk, etc. I would then simply leave that screen on all the time, rather than having to switch between music, nav, etc. Thanks.

i'll keep it in mind.. as you are probably aware im right in the middle of reworking a lot of the code so im not really putting in new features until that is done
do you have a link to an api or sometihng explaining how it works? I take it it just lets you create buttons and assign an intent to it?

Yes, I do understand you are doing the big rewrite for v1.5. I figured I should mention it now, just in case now (ie: the 1.5 rewrite) might be the best time to consider including support for Zooper. Here's a link to: Zooper's XDA thread ( forum.xda-developers.com/themer/zooper) The links below are being phased out (on 31 Oct 13) in favour of the above XDA link: Zooper mainpage ( www.zooper.org/wp/) Zooper Forums ( www.zooper.org/wp/forums) Zooper Frequenty Asked Features (FAF)( www.zooper.org/wp/forums/topic/faf-frequently-asked-features-read-this-before-posting) I just noticed (on the FAF page) that it states that Zooper only updates about once per minute. This may impact on the usability of zooper for realtime playlists, etc. If there are ways to force refresh (eg: end of song, etc) then it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for considering this.
