Is it possible to add gapless support when the "On Queue Completion" is set to "Play Next File"?
For example, if I navigate to an album and long press on the album and choose play, then songs in that album play gaplessly. However, if I navigate to an album and just play the first song, then the transition to the next song has a gap.
My use case is that I am usually listening with "shuffle all" turned on. If a song comes on where I want to hear other songs in that album, I just toggle shuffle all off and then the "Play Next File" takes care of playing the rest of that album. But no gapless in that use case....
Hopefully I explained the request. Let me know if it doesn't make sense or if you need more info.
Thanks.

maybe eventually. The on queue completion system is fairly "dumb" and only kicks in when it tries to go to the next track and there is nothing left in the queue
If you enable prefs -> library -> song actions -> queue album on song play action, selecting a single song loads up the album (or folder if you are using the browser) into the queue, thus allowing gapless playback. Its on by default so you must have turned it off at some point

Another option that I have set differently perhaps?

well it only works if you "play" a song.. if you enqueue it or play next it will only use the song you selected. I have never seen a case where selecting play via the context menu or just a single press has ever not loaded the whole album.
Now if you are using the song tab it wont do it either. Using the song tab implies you only care about a single song.. if you dig down to an album via the genre/artist/album tab it will behave that way. If you are using the folder browser it will play everything in the folder you are in (i think)

I thought you were giving me a workaround in the context of my original question (ie - when a song is played by means of the "play next file" code). I am able to play a song manually and have it play gapless - I was asking only about the "play next file" use case. Thanks.
