With my Archos 5 and Android 1.6, I have problems with the internal EQ of the gonemadplayer with one of the last version (1.4.16.x) When I save an user preset and then I re-start the device or apk, the gonemad player does not use this preset as default - I can hear the flat ? EQ preset, although the user preset is present and visible on GUI. Bug: The user preset is not the default preset and must be selected, although this preset is set as default. The other one is, I can select the user preset, but the player/EQ does not show the graphical settings of this preset, but I think I can hear the preset as this. Bug: The user preset does not show the graphical settings after selection. Do you have change the EQ settings with one of the last versions under Android 1.6? App de-install and re-install does not fix the problem. Thanks for help

i would say uninstall and reinstall but it seems youve done that. I have not touched a thing with the equalizer in like over 6 months so its something with your device
you could try deleting the eq folder (storage/gmmp/eq) and starting over. There is an option somewhere to restore all the presets
I just tried on a few of my devices and had no issue with the eq at all

Next problem. I have deleted the EQ folder, but there is no re-installing of the folder (not after preset restore and not after apk dei-nstall re-install). This is strange. The next funny thing is. I have 0 bytes free on the HDD, but I have deleted several files. argl. /edit It seems to be solved!Okay. I have 461 GB free on HDD. Two weeks ago, I copied my whole music database to my Archos 5. There was NO warning about a fully HDD (there was enough memory to copying all files). It seems, the OS needs some HDD memory for temp. using / app installing etc., but the OS does not warning the user about less HDD memory. The installing of gonemad player was fine, but it seems there was no more HDD memory to save the EQ preset correctly. After deleting the EQ-folder and apk re-installing, the installing of the EQ folder failed, but without any notification. Now, I have deleted several albums so that the OS shows more than 0 byte available on HDD (it seems, Android needs ~30 GB for OS and other things) and the re-installing of gonemad player was successful. Now, I see all EQ presets and I can save and read the user preset correctly. Puuuh, funny thing.

yea a full hard drive would cause a lot of issues. The eq failing to be created would be written to the log. Most errors dont pop up an error box but get written to the log
