I've been hunting for an Android music player that would announce the track I'm listening to before (or after) the song played. I have a large music collection that i listen to while I'm riding via a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
I often come across tracks that i like but don't know the name/artist. I would like to be able to hear the track info (customisable) without having to pull my phone out of my pocket and look at the screen. A text to speech of the IDv3 tag might be the solution...
I've done a bit of searching on google and haven't been able to find a solution (music app/add on app) apart from basic accessibility apps meant for people with visual disabilities.
I found GMMP during this search (today) and am already very impressed with the amount of customisability and the developers involvement.

i can add the request to the request list but the list is very large. The UI rework for 1.5/2.0 is going to take me a long time so its going to be a long time before i can even look at a lot of the other requests
