Hi I know I have requested things about the sort order and it was working great but now for some reason whenever I add an album by the same band to my library the year won't sort along with the others. Example being with my alice cooper collection I just bought a couple of albums today with the years being in the 70's and it sorts them under the 60s ones and I bought an overkill album today from 1991 and it put it under my 80s overkill albums. I thought that maybe if I cleared the database that it would fix it but then when I scanned them again now none of them are in order. They go in the same order whether I sort them by artist asc or year - artist asc. I really don't want to have to delete all my music and sync them all over again just to get them into the correct order when sorting year - artist asc should put it so my alice cooper goes from 2012-1960 and so on and so forth. Please get back to me on if there is an easy fix to this because I really thought the year - artist asc would fix this problem all together. Thanks again

year - artist, sorts by year then artist.. so it groups everything by year first.. then if there are more albums from the same year it sort by artist
artist sorts by artist and then thats it. The album order from the same artist would sort by album ID.. which is determined by the order they were scanned (which is now alphabetical order by folder name, before the order wasnt defined.. i believe most devices it would be the time the folder was created)
I would probably have to add in a artist - year option (Artist sort is intended to sort by album name after artist)

Do you think you would be able to add that? I feel bad asking that because I keep bothering you about the list order but I bought the music player because I was able to get the sort order the way I wanted it but I literally have to remove all my music from my phone and sync it all again everytime I get a new album from an artist that I already have albums from and now that I did a scan where I had it delete the database before the scan none of my albums are in the correct order that I like and I'm going to have to sync all of my music again. Again I appologize for bothering you about the sort orde again but please let me know if you are going to add the artist - year sort order that you just mentioned

yea i have them added in my local version. Some sort options are pretty trivial to add
also dont resync your music.. it is not going to help order things. The scanner now traverses your folder structure alphabetically.. so the order of the albums are going to be based the order they are found in the scan

Ok thank you so much and thank you for letting me know about the resyncing thing because I hadn't done it yet, it was how I use to get them to go back in order after buying another album by an artist I had albums from already. Any idea of when you will be able to add this new sort option? because I know your mainly focusing on your big UI overhaul update so I know your busy. Either way again I appologize for keeping this sorting thing an issue and I really appreciate the fact that your going to add this sort option.

dont know when but it'll just be a minor bugfix update 1.4.16.4. Toss me an email at gonemadsoftware@gmail.com and i can probably get you the build sooner. I'm trying to slow down how often i release updates. Nearly every update i will get emails of people saying how things broke.. when in fact the android update just messed things up and a simple uninstall/reinstall fixes things. So I am going to attempt to just do less frequent.. but larger updates to help cut back on that issue.
Google has also added the ability to do betas through google play so users will still have the option to get updates more frequently that way
