Just upgraded to 1.4.15... and looking forward to checking out the new lyrics feature! I recently loaded some new music onto my Samsung Galaxy S III phone and ran the scanner. Had it delete the old database before starting on the new. No matter what I do now (erase, re-scan, etc.) GMMP creates 24 entries for Playlists and Song... but not Artist and Album (although there are 24X of the same song in each album). Bummer. Didn't have this issue before. Any insight? Thanks!

I dont believe any changes were made with the scanner that would cause that. Go to prefs -> scanner -> open scanner -> edit scan paths and make sure it only lists your music folders. Sometimes the same folder can be represented by more than one location.. and if that happens gmmp will not know they are duplicates. It does attempt some checks to see if 2 locations are the same but its basically limited to what the android OS returns.
So make sure only your music folders are set and try a fresh scan (check delete database)

Thanks. Yes... That was one of the first things I checked. I actually purposely changed it to point to a non-music folder and got zero of everything in the database as I expected. It's set to only /storage/extSdCard/Music where the music files are. And I have verified there is only 1 instance of each song there on the micro SD card. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing unchanged from 1.4.14. I also sent you an error log a little bit ago. There was a lot of "limit" errors? Thanks a bunch for looking into it. I don't think I've done anytihng differently. Everything still looks to work... except for one heck of a mega list (24 times for each entry) in my Playlists and Song menu selection. Ugh. Love GMMP... and why I purchased it!

Go to prefs -> general -> send database and email me a copy of your database with all the duplicates. Its pretty easy looking at the db to see what is being scanned.
I'll check out the error log as well

i responded to your email.. there is some weird folder causing the scanner to rescan your music folder over and over until it hits the recursion limit. Deleting that folder will fix things for you.
I will have to look to see why the scanner is doing that and fix it.. it is most likely due to some folder or file named "..'" The file .. typically represents the parent folder so think android is treating ..' as the parent folder as well.. when it shouldnt. Anyway this should be fairly easy for me to reproduce myself
