I'd love to see an option enabling selecting multiple (but not all) songs from an album for a playlist rather than adding them one song at a time. (It surprises me that this feature is not already on the app since it is so basic--and if in fact it is already possible and I've just not figured it out, somebody please tell me how.) Thanks
PS - Also a volume slider in "Now Playing" would be great since it's a pain to get at the little recessed rocker on my tablet.

multi select is on the todo list. It is not as trivial as you might think it is. Most of the core of gmmp was written 2 years ago when 2.2/2.3 was the main version of android and pretty much no apps had multi select. Now its a bit more common with swiping to select and whatnot, but it requires more than a small change to get it into gmmp. the UI is getting an overhaul for 1.5 so i could see it being added with that
What you can do for now is go to prefs -> library -> song actions -> On Select (Playing/Stopped) and set one to enqueue.. playing would probably be the best. Now when you are playing a song and you select a song, it will enqueue it, thus removing the need to long press. This was originally on by default but I got too many emails from people confused why the song they pressed did not play.
If you want to use this for playlists.. you can actually save the queue to a playlist file (Menu -> Save)

Thanks for the reply and help.
On another topic, I notice in your Blogspot "Roadmap" page that you plan at some point to add LAN support to GMMP. That would make me happier than a boar shoat in a cob pile! (Not to be pushy but um...any idea when that might happen?)

A long time from now. The roadmap lists the major features but i maintain a pretty large list of things that need to get implemented. I started working on 1.4 in oct of last year, released it in jan and there are still a few more 1.4.x releases planned before i begin work on 1.5. 1.4 took maybe 3 months to complete. I'd expect the same time frame for 1.5. Lan support wont be til 1.6
If you are rooted you can look into mounting a network share to your local filesystem and gmmp can be used with that. There is a post somewhere on the forums about some users doing that
