Hi all!
Pretty annoying issue here; when music is playing, it's always played slower than it should be. There's no distortion or anything, just noticeably slower and as a result, it sounds much deeper. I've tried using the default/stock settings, reading various help guides posted on the GoneMAD blogspot and messing with settings for an hour or so- this includes changing things like the playback and decoding priority and other such related settings.
I'm not sure what's required for debugging purposes, or if anything is required. I'm using a Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) which is rooted, running PACman ROM and NEAK kernal. Stock voltages and frequencies.
Thanks in advance!!!

if the sample rate is read incorrectly from the file something like this could happen (playing a 44.1khz file at 22khz would give you a slow down). Custom roms can also cause issues too. Now if the playback is choppy and not slowed down.. that is usually caused by having auto haptic enabled (this was an s3 feature but i assume the note 2 has it as well)

Ah, I see. That does seem to be the issue. The majority of the audio files I have are sampled at 48khz. I did a comparison between 2 different files, one at 44.1 and the other at 48 (I've emailed both for your convenience), and the app is indeed unable to detect when a file is 48khz. I used Apollo to make sure that this was the case. Is there any quick solution, or does it require the app to be modified?

i'll need to take a look at the file and see why the tagging library is reading it in incorrectly.. then fix it to read it correctly. This is fairly common bug that I've had to do fixes for many times. There are SO many mp3s out there that do not follow the id3 tagging specifications, so I usually have to code in special cases for them
