I have a 60 GB music library and I don't have time to look through everything in iTunes and make sure I don't have any corrupted tracks. As I listen to them on shuffle a song will immediately get cut off and move on to the next track. It would be nice if I could use one of the buttons on my headset to flag that track so I can later look through the list of flagged tracks and fix the problem. Does GMMP have something that will work for that? Once it skips to the next track I can manually go back a track but it's the flagging functionality I need.

you could go back and either delete it or rate it 1 stars.. then set up a smart playlist that is only 1 star songs

I forgot about ratings. That would work. Would you be able to add that as a media button action? Maybe a couple actions for adding a start or removing a star?

you could also go into recently played to see the tracks you recently listened to.. assuming you remember which ones got skipped

I would be lucky to go through my list of broken tracks once a week so remembering them for that long is beyond my ability.

I have recently started considering using ratings to "flag" songs that I want to listen to again or to never listen to again (and sometimes to listen to back at home on my PC) . The problem is that none of the views (Album, Queue, Song, ...) with track listing don't display the star rating with the rest of the track info. AFAIK, currently you can only see the rating one track at a time in the Now Playing view (if you configured it to display there) and in the Tag Editor. I know one can create a smart list to display tracks according to ratings, but I would prefer to see this info with the other views also, For example, I would like to display the track listing of a given album, and then quickly see for the entire folder which songs I rated and what the rating is.

Its just a complex task and can potentially run into performance issues if its not done correctly. Now playing being able to show everything is easy because you only have to get data from 1 or 2 songs at the most.. with the lists you are detailing with potentially thousands of songs. Also getting it to look good would be difficult as well. I would most likely go down a path similar to the custom lines in now playing

Fully understand the implications with regard to performance. Custom lines for the list views would be perfect from my point of view - users can decide for themselves if the effect on performance is a price they are willing to pay for having the feature enabled. Cheers.

Maybe a couple actions for adding a start or removing a star? i added a Rating up and Rating down action. It increases/decreases by a half star (the rating system is 0-5 with .5 increments but in the database its actually stored as 0-10)
