I have been using gmmp for awhile now and recently tried to use a music visualizer from the market that said it supported gmmp. It's really weird because it will show the artist name/ track for just a few second when i PAUSE IT! But the bars do not move to the beat... At all.... If i play music with Google music than the bars will move the the beat. I thought that it was probably just that visualizer but i have tried several, same results for each. Any help? Thanks!

1.4.4 reset the simple last.fm scrobbling setting which i know some visualizer used to get the metadata, GMMP now broadcasts out the info by default (the same info that the stock player users).. so it should be able to pick that.
As for only showing up when pausing, that would be the visualizers fault as GMMP broadcasts out the information on track change, play and pause.
You can reenable the last.fm scrobbler in the settings
It sounds like you are talking about audio glow. I've talked with the dev of that before so i can send him a message.. but otherwise you will have to file a bug report with the developer of the visualizer
I tried it on 2 of my devices. My galaxy s3 running CM10.1, audio glow works as expected. If you want track info to show up before hitting pause, audio glow must be running first and then you have to start playback
On my galaxy nexus it doesnt work for poweramp nor GMMP, so that sounds like a bug with the other app
