If you could scan the BPM field in tag and update your data base , we could use it in smartplaylist. Comment field is not shown while smart playlist are being built. In itune we can use one smart playlist in another, can we get some thing like that ? I have seen in one of your reply that weightage (40%/ 70% etc) can be given while making rules in smartplaylist , can we look forward to it? Thanks for giving us this wonderful music player !!!!

yea bpm shouldnt be a problem.
an option to add comment is planned. I dont know when tho. As i mentioned before since the comment field can contain a lot of data, its going to have to be an opt in type field to scan. I know the comment field on a lot of my music is loaded with useless stuff and having that stored in the database (which is needed to work with smart playlists) would take up tons more memory
how does itunes reference another smart playlist. Is it like smartplaylist2 = smartplaylist1 AND condition1 AND condition2 type of thing?
Weights will eventually be added. I wanted to get the basic functionality working so i was able to release it, but i will continue to make improvements / add more to the smart playlists as time goes on

thks for your reply, till you come up with BPM field, I would like to share what I am doing , I am copying BPM data in DIsc No field so that it can be used in smartplaylist (BPM data is in non decimal format).
yes Itune refer in that way , we can add upto 5 smartplaylist.
Further as far as my understanding goes android playlist does not require path , only file name is required , my playlists are built in that way, these are not playing in GMMP , while those with path ref are playing , is it because you are using separate database in your player ? I hv kept my playlist folder whithen scanned directory.

if the playlist references to just the filename... the playlist file must be in the same folder as the music otherwise there is no way to find it
