I am new currently on the trial of GoneMAD and so far very happy. One issue I have that may prevent me from buying the app is that new music added doesn't get 'Unrated' status, or a rating of 0. Basically if I make a smart playlist with the only one rule: Rating = 0, the playlist is empty at first. For songs to show up in this smart playlist I need to open the rating dialog box for a song, but hit OK without actually giving it a star rating. This is a problem for me since a rating of 0 stars is the best way for me to identify new songs. (Recently added doesn't work because once I give a song some rating, I want it to be out of the playlist)
It seems to me that the tag on the file for a rating only gets added after I hit OK in the dialog box, and without that tag the player ignores the rating rather than assuming a non-existent rating tag = 0
This is the ONLY feature making me look for another player.

That was something I probably just overlooked when adding in ratings. The scanner actually scans the file looking to see if any ratings are stored in the tags and if none is found.. it is most likely storing a 'null' in the database instead of 0. Should be an easy fix

That's good to hear! How often are updates for stuff like this done?

I do updates every week or 2 for the most part. If you want to see the update history you can go to prefs -> about gmmp -> changelog. The last years worth of updates with the dates should be listed.
I want to have the next one done by tonight or tomorrow and I should be able to include the fix in that update.
