Hi,
I wondered if you'd be open to considering a couple of feature requests?
1 When playing a playlist and clicking into the queue, it would be good if there was a menu button to "jump back to playing song". Sometimes when scrolling up and down a large playing queue, it can be difficult to get back to the current playing song.
2 In the library and artists view, if scrolling up and down at albums, if you click an album to go to the songs and then go back, the app doesn't member where you were in the list of albums and defaults to the top of the queue. It would be nice when going back from songs to album, the album selected was the main one in view instead of having to scroll to it again.
Great product, thanks for the continued development.

Based on what you posted i am guessing you are using tab navigation? Use the other navigation mode and the queue should always reposition itself so the playing track is at the top. Also every track change should reposition it unless you are actively scrolling

not true.. if its doing that.. its a bug i cannot reproduce (and likely related to tab navigation). Scroll position is saved on all lists / grids
edit: also a note to everyone.. you are free to make suggestions but I have such a massive backlog of planned work and previous requests that you should not expect any traction on a request for years likely

Hi
Yes I'm using the tab navigation. When I'm the queue, the app does jump to the playing song when the track changes. But if there's a big queue and you are scrolling as you mentioned, it can sometimes be difficult to get back to the playing song which is where I thought an option in the queue menu might help.
Regards the list position, I can't seem to get the same results.
If I go to library - Album Artist. Select an artist. It loads up a photo and the list of albums. If that list is big enough to scroll, I can scroll down and then press an album. This then loads up the songs of that album. If I then go back, the album list comes back up but at the top of it, not at the position it was in when I moved from it to the songs.
It seems to work if the view mode is grid. I have the view mode as list and for me it doesn't remember the location.

Thanks for testing. For me, what would happen is that in the last screen , it would be back at the top. But, I've noticed you don't have the art on the album screen. I turned this off tested and it works like it does for you. I've turned the art back on, and now it's still working. So, seems to be fixed now after doing that!

using the list with art still gives me the same behavior but glad you got it working.
The one thing i could think of is if you are in the album details screen and end up putting the screen in the background for awhile.. go back to the app and then try to back out.. i could maybe see if the OS was killing and restoring the app that maybe some of the positioning gets lost

I think I've figured out what might cause it.
If you have a really long list of albums and you have the artist art enabled I think this is what happens.
As you scroll the albums, the artist art "minimises" and just shows the artist name which makes sense as it gives more space to the list.
If you select an album towards the bottom of the list and then go back, the artist art shows the picture again and I think this pushes the list down slightly so you can't sometimes see the album you pressed.

You can choose to hide the art in those views. I also have plans for 3.5 (may slip to 3.6) to do a new "header" for the details view that doesnt take up as much space

No problem. I do like the artist art and it only affects the list if its quite long too. Would be cool though if the view remembered when the art had been "minimised" when going back and then it could expand again towards the top of the list?

details views are shared and the art is intentionally reset so when you go into a new artist it shows correctly. also it gets set to show / not show based off the art setting when the view is opened
