I realize this is a lot to ask in a single post. GMMP is excellent and is my go-to player as is, just wondering if you could add these bits without too much trouble
1. RG scanner: RG playback works great, and I use the per-track version all the time. The only gripe is, GMMP doesn't come with a built-in scanner. How difficult would it be to add one?
2. Album art: is it possible to add a per-track manual keyword search interface for internet downloaded album arts? Not all tracks have accurate metadata, and some end up with random arts from unknown artists when using the current auto download feature.
3. External media update: all my media resides on an OTG usb drive, and new songs are periodically added to it from a PC.
Most of my songs are organized by folders, and playlists are created with a single folder or combinations of multiple folders.
As of now, this is how I add new songs:
1) unplug OTG USB drive, move it to a PC to add new songs
2) reconnect the drive to the tablet
-----------------------------------------
3) delete and recreate the existing playlist (to nuke the contents) <= this is to avoid duplicate entries when adding the updated folder to the playlist
4) add the updated folder with new songs to the newly created, nuked (empty) playlist
Is there a way to improve the second half of this workflow with the existing UI? I can't use smart playlist as most of my songs don't have any tags at all. If otherwise, would it be possible to add a few simple bits to get it done?
suggestion 1) add "sync (update) playlist with contents of the selected folder" feature
suggestion 2) add "remove duplicates from the playlist" feature
4. OTG drive "quick play" feature: it would be nice if you GMMP could recognize a freshly inserted OTG drive (or have a manual button) and prompt for an option to make a shuffled playlist with all playable media on that drive.
That's it for now, thank you as always!
