external drives

I have a pixel 6a wiht a usb hub/ card reader
i can see my card (64GB) and an externa drive (256gb)
i can see them in solid explorer

one says USB OTG
the other says /mnt/media_rw
how can i get gone mad to use them
/mnt/media_rw  does not work as a scan path path.  or maybe it is just scanning for a very long time.  a half hour shows no artists.

do i need to use /dev/block/vold/public:8,65

i cannot answer that for you. you can add the diff paths to the scanner and then try to view it in the folder browser.. what the folder view can see is what the scanner can see
