Title probably doesn't explain it very well, but the scenario is I shuffle a playlist and listen to some music. I then stop for some period of time (minutes, hours, days). I then plug my phone in my car and Android Auto starts playing from where I left off. Or I put in my earbuds and tap them to start playing where I left off. But then I open the app and often but not always, it will start playing another song. I have the app set for unrestricted battery usage thinking that might be causing it, but it still happens. Is there anyway to avoid this issue? I should note that I always start the playlist for a shortcut pointing to the .spl file. Is doesn't do it every time, so I assume that's not the issue. TIA

gmmp will play whatever the last song you had playing unless told otherwise by the user.. if you are starting via an spl it is going to load that smart playlist and play whatever the first selection is in the spl (which are dynamic).

But in my scenario, all I did was open the app and it started playing a different song than was already playing. I didn't tell it to play another song. I just opened to app.

you are opening the app via the GMMP icon on the home screen or you are opening the app via a shortcut to an spl file?
