Unlock across multiple device?

Unable to find info on this via search, so...

I got GMMP on my dedicated music device via Google Play, paid for the unlock. I'm at the point now where the player I have on my actual phone (Pi Music Player) kind of pales in comparison to GMMP. My question is, if I download GMMP onto my phone using the same Google account (which I use for all my devices) as well as the unlocker, will the app be unlocked on my phone as well, or do I have to purchase the unlocker for each device I add?

unlocking is associated with the google / amazon account, not the device

And in the same vein, when I move to a new phone do I need to download both the player and also the unlocker or simply the player to a new phone (all is still using the same gmail account)?

You will need both to get the app unlocked.

note: if the in app purchase is used to unlock the app, you only need to download the trial
