I was running gmmp on a shanling m3x and moved to a FIIO m11 plus ess but the issue exists on both devices. If I try to rate a song while it is playing, it will do one of 4 things. 1) Rate the song and keep playing 2) Rate the song and song will stop for a second before continuing 3) rate the song and proceed to quickly skip through each song in order until I stop it 4) Rate the song, pause for a second, and skip to the next song. I was having other issues with the M3 so I moved my library to a FIIO m11 plus ess. The problem still persists even after changing the buffer size to minimum, medium, and maximum; turning on openSL, and reinstalling. OpenSL cause a multitude of other issues such as the song stopping a few seconds before the end and the app refusing to respond until a force stop, songs not queuing correctly and not playing the next folder, and output out of only the left channel. My library consists of 7k songs on a 512gb micro SD which was upgraded from my 256 on the shanling. I have reinstalled the app and cleared the data but the problems still persist. One thing to note is that the shanling runs on a modified android 7.1 and the fiio runs on a modified Android 10.

known issue. Some formats do not allow you to modify the file while playing (ogg vorbis is the one that i recall that doesnt allow it). I also dont recommend ever using opensl unless nothing else works.. that android api is awful
The current behavior for the formats that have known issues modifying while playing is to pause, modify rating in tags, reload the file, resume playing where left off.
3) i've never seen happen before.. there is no reason why rating one file would affect the next one in the queue 4) havent seen that one either
1 or 2 are the expected behaviors. The actual pause gmmp does is only like 100ms and shouldnt really be noticeable. Im guessing the longer delay is due to your hardware
