Thank you for the opportunity to test GoneMAD music player. After several days of trialing the product I have decided not to pursue it any longer. Without support for BPM, lack of index in long lists of albums, artists and no ability to support front and back covers and booklets and a couple other things I will not be purchasing your app at this time. I will check back from time to time to see how the product is progressing. Again, thanks for allowing a test period.

Without support for BPM, lack of index in long lists of albums, artists and no ability to support front and back covers and booklets and a couple other things… Out of curiousity, what other apps offer support for these reasons you have listed? These seems to be fringe improvement requests for GoneMAD, but I can’t think of other players on the Android platform that do, while also maintaining the current premium playback functions as well.

Poweramp has the index feature that I requested and another thing I forgot about in my list is to have Recent additions always use filesystem timestamp without a # of days restriction so that if my most recent additions was a month or 2 ago it would still show as recently added because it is the most recently added which Poweramp also does. Since I've already bought Poweramp and it does support these 2 "fringe" improvements I can't see spending money on another music player app. The reason I looked at GoneMAD player is that it is Queue oriented for playing music which is not Poweramp's default method of playing music but I have somewhat got Poweramp to also do.
Granted this is not an Android app, but it's what I use for my home based stereo systems. Logitech Media Server (free open source software) is what I consider the "gold standard" music playing system. It supports all of these things I've done feature requests for. And I use all of these requested features on the home stereo music system.

I mentioned like twenty times that recent additions only use the file timestamp on the first scan after a database delete or install, anything after that uses whatever time the clock says. I even pasted the code

I mentioned like twenty times that recent additions only use the file timestamp on the first scan after a database delete or install, anything after that uses whatever time the clock says. I even pasted the code I understood what you said. I was requesting that there be an option to always use filesystem timestamp rather than the clock time of the scan on subsequent scans. Your response was, as you said, filesystem timestamp on initial scan or DB delete. I'll also mention that on my Moto x4 android 9 my initial scan and a full scan after deleting the database the scan is not using the filesystem time from my inserted MicroSD card. Perhaps your code you showed does not work for inserted MicroSD card. This may be related to GMMP not even recognizing that there is a MicroSD card inserted in the phone requiring the path to the MicroSD card be manually entered. But again, thanks for the trial period so I could determine if GMMP would be a keeper to replace PowerAmp

i explained why using the last modified date for every scan has issues. Many ways of copying files over to your storage / sdcard will maintain the original date modified from where you were transferring from. If that date is used in the scanner the album does not show up in recently added albums. I have no plans on adding options that can cause issues with users. If the option exists, someone will turn it on and inevitably complain about why it doesnt work correctly, wasting my time trying to help figure out the issue (when it ends up being 100% the users fault because they turned on the setting)
