First let me say that I am very pleased with Gone Mad. It has most of the features (assuming I get get ReplayGain working) that I have been looking for.
Most of my files are in Ogg-Vorbis Format (with a few AAC files mixed in). They have all been tagged using foobar with both Track Gain and Album Gain. They play back fine in foobar as well as my Squeezebox.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with GoneMad 1.4.1 (currently the 14-day trial version - if it makes a difference). I purposely picked one song with large negative gain and one with large positive gain to listen back to back. ReplayGain is definitely not getting applied.
It is turned on in the preferences. I have tried with Prefer Album Gain checked and unchecked.
I have not investigated AAC files or any other file format.
OT - Assuming I get ReplayGain working, is there a preference that allows it to use Album Gain when listening to albums, but Track Gain when listening to random songs?

email the 2 tracks you tested with to gonemadsoftware@gmail.com
ogg tags can be anything so GMMP might just not be looking for the replaygain tag written in your files. and i'll admit most of the replaygain testing has been with mp3
Using track gain when shuffling is an interesting idea.. there is no setting to do that but i like the idea

Files have been sent.
With respect to the track gain while shuffling, Slim Devices (Squeezebox) has an option like this.

figured out the issue. For 1.4 i changed the ogg decoder to a different library and just never added the replaygain code to the new code. So its read fine from the file.. just not applied. I'll fix it in the next update

All is good here. I had one song play loud when I realized I had not yet added the tags to my AAC files. Thanks for the quick turn around.
