Would it be possible to add a feature to remove duplicates in the entire library, similar to the playlist function?

library already deletes duplicates. A playlist can contain the same file twice which is why there is an option for that. The library can only contain one copy of each file, if a second copy somehow gets into the library, the duplicate is removed at the end of the scan. If you have files appearing twice in your library then you need to look into how your scanner is set up. The uniqueness of a file in gmmp is based off its filename (case sensitive). File locations on an sdcard for example, are not case sensitive so if you have both /storage/sdcard/music and /storage/sdcard/Music added to your scanner, you will get duplicates in the library because there is no way for gmmp to know they are the same file (android treats them as 2 independent folders) Another thing to check for is an actual second copy of specific files on your storage. You can use the "song info" option to view the full filename/path of the 2 files to determine which one to delete from your storage As i typed all this up i realized i also had a help page on the subject here: gonemadmusicplayer.blogspot.com/p/duplicate-files-showing-up-in-library.html

Ah, thanks so much! Your quick response is just another reason that I love the player.

Otherwise you are going to have the same problem again in the future. Managing this on a mobile device is not typically as easy either.
