Is there a reason as to why some tracks don't play when I'm listening to them on my phone? They're fully tagged correctly and are ripped from CD's. But if I then try the same track on a different MP3 player it plays with no issues at all. It's Android and on a Samsung A10.

I have never had an audio file not play in GMMP.

files do need the correct extension in order to play in gmmp (other players might be more forgiving of this). IE an mp3 file needs an .mp3 extension and not m4a or another extension. I've seen this happen with users numerous times

I've seen this happen with users numerous times Correct. Recently I have seen many examples of this with 3rd party online YouTube “converters” that pull the audio streams. These files are showing m4a extensions but are using mp3 format (or maybe the other way around?) which breaks compatibility for many players and tagging programs.
