I have v2.1.5 on an old phone I use while exercising.
I load an entire archive of podcasts in pubdate order into a folder. With Date Asc sort order, the sequence of episodes is perfect. Then I create a playlist and examine the order of the playlist. Now the episodes in the playlist are in alpha order.
Is there a trick I am missing to convert a folder in date order into a playlist in date order? Is there a sort order setting for a playlist?
(The phone has no active network connection, and podcast players crash on this ancient phone. I also load youtube lecture playlists into a folder, in date order.)
Thanks!

2.1.5 is insanely old and unsupported. If i recall correctly if you use add to playlist in that version it'll just add in alphabetical order regardless on the order you are viewing the folder. If you multiselect (long press) individual tracks and add to playlist (if thats even a feature.. 2.1.x hasnt been supported for like 6+ years.. so i dont remember exactly), then it should add in the order each track was selected with multi select.
Im a hobbyist android dev so 3.1.x or newer is all that i can truly give good support for

Thanks for the tips! I realize it's ancient, and I really appreciate your reply.
It appears that just queuing from the folder retains the sort order, and since I only listen to this material once through, that looks like it solves the problem.
