3.0.14 Build Scanner process hangs - GMMP not usable

The Scanner didn't finish the scan on one of my phones with Build 3.0.14. I have deleted the database. The initial scan works. All other scans didn't finish and GMMP can't access the DB and stucks with the playing song. Only to kill the GMMP process in mange apps helps to stop the scanner. Without scanning i have no problems with the app. The  phone with GMMP scanner problem is an xiaomi 10T lite, Android 11, MIUI 12.01 with more than 10.000 Songs on a 256 GB microSD.

My other phone is an POCO F2 pro 8GB RAM 256GB Storage internal, Android 11, MIUI 12.2.5. More than 10.000 song on internal storage.

On this phone the scan is slower, but finishes the scan after several minutes.

The problem exists since update to Build 3.0.14.

if the bug just started in 3.0.14 then delete the apps cache / data and try again. Nothing with the scanner was changed in 3.0.14.

If its been around for a few updates then recreate the hang and immediately generate a logcat and email that in gonemadmusicplayer.blogspot.com/2014/07/how-to-get-logcat-system-log-to-help.html

Another thing to try is turning off "clean database after scan" in the scanner settings and see if it still happens. The only change in 3.0.14 even related to the database was a tweak to the cleaning code

actually it might be related to the artwork search. Will look at it tonight

Pushing a hotfix

3.0.15
-Fixed deadlock on some devices searching for artist art during a scan
-Fixed another issue with cue files getting removed from library (rescan required)

My problems with the scan process are with 3.0.15 gone.

Great - had the same problem with scanner getting stuck at arbitrary points after deleting the database, it would stay unresponsive until I'd kill the process. New version (and deleting cache) solved it for me, thanks for that.
