(Android 11, Samsung Galaxy s10e, version 3.0.13)
I often have a returning notification from the app for controlling the playing song, even when the playing song is paused or nothing is playing at all. I can dismiss the notification, but it often returns. Exiting out of the app from the drawer doesn't seem to remove the notification nor stop it from returning. It seems to stop returning only after I stop using the app for a while, but I'm not sure of that definitively.
For example, after posting my other bug about the undismissable scanner notifications, I restarted my phone to clear it, and immediately on start up I had an empty GMMP notification.
In my settings, "Show When Paused" is not checked under "Notifications".

Thanks! This is helpful.
For future readers: Samsung doesn't provide the option to remove the persistent media control navigation. Looks like the best you can do is to dismiss it regularly.
