Been searching for ages for an Android music player that sorts by albumartist. Gonemad is the only one I can find that does this so thanks for that.
The other thing I'd love to have is to be able to display lyrics. I've used Songbird (on my PC) to add lyrics to all of my tracks in batch with one of its add-ons (can recommend this method). Gonemad doesn't appear to have the option to display lyrics.
Has this been requested before. Can lyrics be displayed?
Thanks

yea i get the lyrics request a lot. It will most likely be one of the main features i work on for 1.5 (1.4 is nearing completion)

Sounds great.
I'm only after unsynched lyrics. I'm happy to scroll through myself. I would imagine that synched lyrics would be a lot more complicated.

Hi,
Fabulous player, your player and my Pasce Minirig give me hours of entertainment.
Thanks for adding the Lyrics in the latest version. I have just tried them but unfortunately I do not see the line feeds appear. All of the text appears on one long extended line.
Below I did a cut and paste of the lyrics from one of my files and it pasted here as I would expect to see it:
Guess who just got back today Them wild-eyed boys that had been away Haven't changed, hadn't much to say But, man, I still think them cats are crazy
What I actually see in GMMP appears as below:
Guess who just got back todayThem wild-eyed boys that had been awayHaven't changed, hadn't much to sayBut, man, I still think them cats are crazy
Is there a CRLF character of some kind that is not being interpreted correctly.
Thanks

its easier just to email me one of the files gonemadsoftware@gmail.com
Right now in the files i tested with there was a carriage return and line feed that i had to convert to <br> (its rendered in html) but im sure there are cases im missing. I only had foobar2000 and a few files online to test with

Sent in file as requested. Lyrics were created with Songbird. Heard back same day that the fix would be in the next release. What a great service for a fantastic App. Thanks

i wasnt even aware of synced lyrics.. i take it each line has a time associated with it? Sorry to dredge up such an old post, but yes. The LRC file format allows for this. This Wikipedia article has more info. It's quite useful because the foobar2000 component foo_uie_lyrics3 grabs and saves synchronized lyrics when they're available.

yea gmmp handles both but will only display as unsynced I see I usually have both embedded and lrc lyrics, so I wasn't sure which it was reading from.

oh sorry i meant supported both synced and unsynced embedded lyrics.. the lrc format is basically what gets embedded into the files.
I plan on doing lrc file support at some point. Embedded lyrics seemed to be much more popular which is why i gave it the priority
