I'd love to see the song ratings on the "Now Playing" screen. See the ratings of a song, as I'm listening to it, esp. if it has No ratings, so that I can rate it.

For future reference, here's how I solved this (GMMP 3.4.8 unlocked)
In Now Playing window, select menu (three dots) -> Customize -> Displayed Metadata. In the dropdown, select "Detailed - Large" (any size will do but it has to be "Detailed"). Third option down displays the ratings.
Note that this is "read only" - you can't click on the ratings to change them. For that you'll still need a button action. The default layout includes a "ratings" button which, when clicked, displays the rating and lets you change it. I changed the buttons to a "thumbs up/thumbs down" by going to menu (three dots) -> Customize -> Buttons. Next, click on the ratings button and change the action to "Rating Down". Click on the next button and change the action to "Rating Up."
My only complaint is that GMMP uses half-stars and there is no way to disable it. Thus, I have to press twice to increase by one star, which is very annoying.

just adding that i too would love to see the ratings display change from being "read only" to being adjustable right there on the now playing screen, without needing to tap the star button first.
i have also customised the buttons in now playing to have both a thumbs up and thumbs down button there, but having the rating display do it would be better.
however i really love the half stars ability, so please don't get rid of that in the future! maybe just have a half stars on/off in the settings somewhere so people can disable half star increments if they want.

not possible with how the custom metadata is designed and the UI elements it uses
