Thank you so much for creating this! I have been long awaiting the release of Psuedo TV Live for Kodi and I just came across this in the google play store. In any future updates are you planning on adding movies (either by genre, studio or both), interleaving custom network bumpers / commercials between shows, and showing a network logo on each channel? Keep up the great work!

yes to movies... that'll come in some form with custom channels (mixing movies and tv). I havent done anything with genre yet, so when i do that will open up more options.
"interleaving custom network bumpers / commercials between shows, and showing a network logo on each channel?" No plans for any of that as it would not exactly be very easy to set up from a TV UI and there are no api to grab network logos that im aware of so it would have to be all user uploaded content.
Im not saying id never add that stuff but its not in the current plan.
This is some of what I have planned currently (copied from one of my reddit posts):
-standard video player options one would expect (selecting audio track, subtitles.. stuff like that) -More options for the auto generating channels -support for emby/jellyfin -somehow mix in movies (most likely just movie only channels to start) -custom channels (select specific shows / tags / etc) -multi user / profile support

Thanks for the great work GoneMAD. Everything works great, I just have one thing to complain about =)
I'm running Android TV/FireTV Stick. A lot of the mediafiles that I'm running aren't able to run on them, I'm not exactly requesting for transcoding, but maybe a player or codec that can run more types of files?

Those devices should support all commons formats (you should be using h264 or h265 tho).. what codecs are you having issues with? FYI i do not have the ability to add extra codecs due to how heavily patented video formats are. The license fees are outrageous exoplayer.dev/supported-formats.html

- Allow user to randomize or play TV shows in series. - Allow user to select total episodes played from each series (example play two episodes of a show and then two episodes of another show) - Remove pre-made channels from listing (You already said this will be done in a future update) - Allow user to add movies channels and mix movie and TV shows together (You already said this will be done in a future update) - Add black transparent background of channel text and maybe increase the text size (easier to read from far distances on smaller TV) - Allow user to disable future selection of shows in the guide (graying them out as they are not live adding to more of a live experience) - Increase zoom on selected TV show on guide (Easier to read on smaller TVs) - Allow users preference of vertical channel listing to be either on the left or right side (Use to it on the right like HDHomeRun)

"Allow user to select total episodes played from each series (example play two episodes of a show and then two episodes of another show)" - yup that will eventually be added. "Remove pre-made channels from listing (You already said this will be done in a future update)" - correct.. will probably be 2 updates from now "Allow user to add movies channels and mix movie and TV shows together (You already said this will be done in a future update)" - working on this currently and that'll be the focus of the next update "- Add black transparent background of channel text and maybe increase the text size (easier to read from far distances on smaller TV)" what do you mean by black transparent "- Allow user to disable future selection of shows in the guide (graying them out as they are not live adding to more of a live experience)" while that wouldnt be too difficult to add.. i dont understand the purpose.. just dont select a future episode if thats what you want "- Increase zoom on selected TV show on guide (Easier to read on smaller TVs)" - Probably would be easier to add a "small tv mode" or something like that which just scales up the UI element sizes and fonts "- Allow users preference of vertical channel listing to be either on the left or right side (Use to it on the right like HDHomeRun) " - no plans on doing that. Majority of the UIs are built off the ones provided by the android tv sdk (leanback library specifically). Left or right for that is not an option

Thanks for the fast response... "- Add a black background for channel text and maybe increase the text size (easier to read from far distances on smaller TV)" I was referring to adding a soft transparent black or something behind the channel name to make it stand out a little better. (If your watching something and the color is white its hard to see the channel name.) Thanks for your hard work and look forward to further updates.

- Allow user to show channel guide with up or down buttons instead of just up. (I find myself always hitting the down button by accident and it shows the video player options with Nvidia Sheild.) - Even better, allow user to change the channel with up or down on the guide automatically selecting the current video after say 3-5 seconds.
Keep rocking man, this app is amazing after converting audio. Do wish it accepted more audio choices and understand it could be costly. Thanks again for your hard work.

Thanks again for your hard work. sorry.. no plans on doing either of those. learn to hit up if you want the guide. Pressing down brings up the player controls in plex too, which was why i chose that edit: didnt see the second part. format support is whatever the device can handle. Id like to add transcoding eventually but its not as straight forward as direct play

I added a partially transparent background similar to when the controls pop up and it does look at lot better

Is there a way to channel sync multiple devices to play the same sequence of content in queue?

every device is independent. i'll eventually make a server side component that will allow syncing but that is a long long way off
edit: on the shorter term i do plan on having a way to import custom channels from other running instances of quasi tv (but it would just be the list of channels / movies and not the full schedule)

That was going to be my next question... This would be a huge time saver, thank you.
