Woo-hoo! Thank you for the new version! Looks like the equalizer/effects bug is fixed...much appreciated!
A bug I'm encountering...this was in 2a but I never got around to reporting it, and I'm still seeing it in 2b...(Note I've had versions of this bug on things like Android Auto and that was fixed...but I'm still finding it in the case below)
* Pick your favorite genre * With the tracks displayed, hit the shuffle button to put a bunch of stuff in the queue * While the first song in the queue is playing, skip to the next track * The second track will play correctly and display information will be correct. Let the second track complete playing. * The third track...the display information will be for the third track, but the second track will start playing again.
Thank you...using this alpha all the time and it's behaving pretty darn well! Eckless

There's a small bug where if the alpha version 3 and the stable version are opened at the same time (but both paused), if you start playback of one (from the notification), both will play at the same time. But playing one from inside the app works fine.

But playing one from inside the app works fine. Not really a bug, just the nature of having 2 apps that respond to the same intents. You could disable remote controls in one of the versions

How do I do that in the stable version?

settings -> general -> headset prefs -> enable headset/remote controls
notification buttons end up just sending intents instead of directly triggering code to execute.. so the play/pause gets sent and one version will play while the other pauses. I also think that as long as you go to menu -> exit in 2.x, its music service should be stopped and not respond to the intents (assuming you dont have any widgets added for it)

Just installed the alpha for the first time (3.0 Alpha 2b). HAven't had much time to deep dive, but on the surface it's looking and working great!! I had a hard time figuring out the various color options in the theme builder. Each time had to go back into the player and see what each combo does, and then back into the settings, and so on. It would be great to have a preview option. I set a dark material theme, with gray-scale colors for the primary color and primary dark - but in the side menu, the text of the selected item is very dark so hard to see the text. Can't see an option here to send you a screenshot. I can send by mail if you wish.

For the alpha to be my daily driver, I would need the "custom gestures" and "custom now playing metadata" options. Are these going to be added in a future alpha or later on in the beta version?

I happened to be listening to a track whose album art was mostly a white color. As a result, I couldn't see the burger menu on the top left and the vertical-dot menu on the top right.

In the Settings > Scanner > Edit Scan Paths screen, the paths are displayed each as a single line of text. I have two items there that point to folders on my SD card. Their paths are long path but are 80% identical (same prefix). But because only one line of text is shown in the screen, they are cut short such that what is displayed on the screen looks makes them look identical. If I were able to see their full paths (2 lines of text or an option to expand) I'd be able to tell them apart.

Thanks for the new update! Everything's working well for me. No crashes yet. But there's a little issue with scrobbling, again. It seems that album name is not included when sending track information.
I used the "Copy Current Track to Clip Board" function in Simple Last.fm Scrobbler and here's what I got.
When playing with 2.x: Famine Wolf by Between the Buried and Me, Coma Ecliptic
When playing with 3.0 Alpha 2b: Famine Wolf by Between the Buried and Me,
Again, thanks for the new update!

I've noticed in beta 3 that tapping the previous track button directly plays the previous track. In version 2, the first press rewinds the playing track and a second press then plays the previous track. I hope we'll get an option in the settings to choose between the two. It may seem like a small thing but that's the reason I stopped using rocket player. Users were split on this, and devs just changed the behavior to just straight play the previous track. You can add an option in the settings to choose either (like in BlackPlayer, Poweramp, etc.)
