Hi! I pray you not to change the edit mode for queue. I often use GMMP in the car and take advantage of street light stops to edit my queue. Having to long press in the car would be time consuming and imprecise. Why change something that works so well.
Your handling of the queue was, I kid you not, the main reason that led me to buy GMMP three years ago.
Edit: also, please do not place GUI elements over album art. I watched your video and there's the big orange button over artwork which I'd find really annoying.

Having to long press in the car would be time consuming and imprecise. Why change something that works so well. Your handling of the queue was, I kid you not, the main reason that led me to buy GMMP three years ago. Edit: also, please do not place GUI elements over album art. I watched your video and there's the big orange button over artwork which I'd find really annoying. the floating action button (which is quite standard in material design UIs btw) on now playing will be removable.. give me some credit.. you know how i make most things that could be considered optional. You also make this sound like its a completely awful thing i did by putting a FAB there.. yet extremely popular players like shuttle have the button on now playing as well.. so please dont think im going out of my way to make things hideous or anything. drag and drop was done that way because i was using waht google provided. old gmmp uses list views which are deprecated and no longer supported.. recycler views are what is used since android 5.0, so i cannot use ANY of the old drag and drop code.. so its not as simple as "changing something that works so well", its me trying to functionally added as quickly as i can (so instead of spending weeks writing a custom solution i used what was available and added it in like 30 minutes) The reason why i make those update posts is to get feedback so i thank you for mentioning the drag and drop because i agree in a car it may be annoying. I am trying my best to get something useable as quickly as i can.. and will add in options during the 3.0 alphas and betas.. There is also the option to use the 2.x legacy version which will be the current version + bug fixes.. it'll be for those who do not like the new ui

Hi! First things first: I absolutely love GMMP and have suggested it to anybody looking for an audio music player in Android. Both online and offline. If I sounded abrasive, sorry.
As far as the "orange button", great. Options are GMMP's forte, I concur.
And queue handling, I get what you are saying and I appreciate the option to stay with "old" UI. On the other hand, I think the method you have in the current release is superior to Google's new standard. So I hope you'll be able to include it for the new UI, sooner or later.
Thanks for the continued support on this great product. Much appreciated.

That's great. If I understand correctly this will make "easy" for you to provide both options for users to select. Right?
Many thanks for looking into this.
