I have my settings in Queue, On Queue Completion set to "Stop" but it doesn't seem to matter what I select here; it always goes back to the first track in the queue and keep playing. Also, what does the On Queue Completion option "Default" mean? This was never a problem on my Motorola Nexus 6, but this started happening when I switched to a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

stop will stop if you let the queue finish naturally. If you press next track it goes back to the beginning of the queue because the user explicitly is changing the tracks. 99% of the time if a user hits next track they want it to play another song.. and not just stop
Default has some special logic in it if the queue just has one song on it (for those users who ignore the queue and just want to use next/prev to browse through their music)

I am not hitting next, I am letting it finish naturally. It always continues to the first on the list.

I figured it out. On the Now Playing screen, the "repeat" icon had been selected.
