Hi there, I was trying GoneMad Player for my cars indash Android Unit since it has a lot of useful features for navigating my music in my car easily. So i decided to give it a try with the trial version. Unfortunately the player always crashes if the play button is pressed ... no matter if its in the app or in the status bar. Attached you find a cleaned catlog (removed GPS/MTC messages). Hope you find the problem. PS: i found this similar (solved) thread here already but my log looks a bit different so i decided to open a new one Greetings, 3agle

i am taggin my files with mp3Tag and then throw them on to my server where a script normalizes and reconverts them with mp3gain and lame.
can you tell me if there is a specific tag field currupted or another software to tag my files correctly?

The only other option is the version of android on that device doesnt follow google's specs and includes bad versions of certain libraries.. but thats highly unlikely unless its some random cheap device from china

So i have to clean the tags first an then write them back from filename/textfile/etc. . Will defently try that out!
Second option is possible since it is a device from china ... (actually european / german ones are far too expensive and have limited functionality). But i already installed a custom rom.
Thanks for your help! Will report back as soon as i tested completely new tagged files.

I now tested several programms for tagging and tagged some files after cleaning.
Result is: it was not the tag crashing the player.
I will now get in touch with the manufacturer to get info about the libary used in their stock ROM just to be sure.

if you dont care about a lot of the audio features.. you can turn off gmmp eq, gapless, replaygain, and crossfade and it will revert to the standard android audioplayer instead of gmmp's custom engine. Despite the gapless setting being turned off, it would still use the android audio player gapless. which, while not perfect, is usually undetectable for most tracks.
You can still use the eq, but it would be the android eq and not gmmp's which isnt as good but is probably adequate
Your manufacturer wont get back to you unfortunately. I've never seen any that responds to questions like that to their users
