I have been a PowerAMP user since my first Android phone back in 2010. Back then, it was the only gapless music player for the Android line of devices. But unfortunately, it has appeared to have degraded in it's performance. Gapless playback on an SD card is broken now with it. If I move the files to internal memory, it works. Move those same files back to my 64gb SD card, and there are pauses between tracks as well as within tracks. It's irritating and no amount of tweaking fixes the issue.
Enter GoneMAD. I've used this for two weeks and not once have I heard a skip or a pause, either between songs or within songs (well, the only silence between songs is when it's not a gapless recording).
The performance of GoneMAD I must say is excellent. And, a feature it has (albeit still in development) that I have been wanting for a long time in PowerAMP is bookmarking a song so I can go back to that point in time if I leave the playlist to listen to something else. That is an excellent option that I am excited to see improve in the days/months/years to come.
It took me all of about one day with GoneMAD to finally shell out the money for it and it's well worth it.
So, I just wanted to say thank you for providing this excellent app. Please keep up the great work you are doing. I can only see what is an excellent app already do nothing but get better with age, like a fine wine.
