This might not be the player but my Archos 70 250 gig player itself Anyway, I have the player in my pocket bluetoothing to my head phones and the sounds just stops mid song.
I look to see what happens and I get a message Gonemad player is not responding and get the options kill application / wait for application to respond.
Neither of these options work and I have to restart the player to get GoneMad to work again. The Archos tablets do dodgy things at time so it may not be Gonemad player itself.
At work though the Archos player sits on my work desk and doesn't crash the entire day (8 hours plus). So not sure what is upsetting it, movement of me walking, bluetooth signal overload from mobile phones everywhere? Hard to test as it's in my pocket out of sight when it happens
Usually though when Gonemad does crash I have to restart the player to get it respond again, this is painful when it happens

Sounds like its an issue with the hard drive. moving a hard drive while reading from it can cause many issues. GMMP handle failures when reading fairly well and all the audio processing is done in a background thread, so it should never cause the player itself to freeze. This leads me to believe its more of a design flaw with the device itself. I know my hard drive 5IT freaks out for no reason all the time :/
