Hi all, I'm using GMMP v1.6.4 and noticed an issue with tab folders. I'm not sure if this is intended, but it seems only to work with folders which are included by scanner and therefore are already listed in library. So what is the benefit? In tab folders I can only choose subfolders of folders defined in scanner options... I think it should work with any music folder you choose (wether in internal, external sd or usbotg)... independent of library/scanner definitions... Am I doing something wrong, do I miss something? Anyone can reproduce this? Please check this and explain or help out. Thanks so much

Damn it, just saw this on FAQ:
"Q: Why doesn't the file browser show any files? A: The browser will only show the folders (and subfolders) of the paths added to the scanner. You will need to add your music paths to the scanner. If you want to browse everything just add /sdcard/."
So it is explained... But isn't the real purpose of folder play to work with ANY folders which are NOT defined in scanner? I just don't get the point why someone should folder play music which is already in library and therefore much easier to manage...
Please think about unlinking this. It would be much more flexibel to use...

Some users do not tag their music so library views are useless to them and thats why they use the browser view. Other users have their music organized in a specific folder structure and just like to use folders to choose their music. I personally do this on my PC. For 100% functionality all your music needs to be scanned into the database. Whether you use the library tabs is irrelevant. Sure GMMP can play any arbitrary file on your device.. but it needs to be in the library for it to be maintained in the queue through restarts If you want to browse all your storage just go in and change the scanner paths. The music technically doesnt need to get scanned in.. the browser just uses the entries in the scanner to construct the root view of the folder tab. Or if you specifically do not want certain folders scanned in, add it to the ignore path. The browser doesnt care about anything in the ignore path list
