Hi,
With both simple last.fm scrobbler and scrobble droid I get the same issue: skipped songs are scrobbled as played. And everything worked fine up until few days ago.
I use the scrobble results to sync back the metadata to iTunes with the iSyncr app, so first I thought it's na iSyncr problem. But then I checked with their dedicated music player - the Rocket Player and the scrobbles worked as they should.
So maybe it's an issue on the GMMP side after all?
thanks, Pawel

Most likely was due to the fix for metadata over bluetooth. A complete intent gets sent on track change (this was the only way i could get the metadata to update on the receiver)
Prefs - general - scrobbler - check simple last fm. In simple last fm you need to unchec android music player and enable gonemad.
By default gmmp broadcasts the stock android player intents (this is for what i mentioned above). The simple last fm setting will do a separate broadcast and it will show up as coming from gonemad music player in simple last fm
Edit: i thought last fm didnt count scrobbles for songs played less than 30 seconds?

The problem is that I don't use the simple last.fm scrobbler, it's not even installed on my phone. The purpose of my setup is not scrobbling, but capturing metadata (playcount & last played date vs. skipcount & last skipped date). So the 'broadcast' is received not by a scrobbler but the iSyncr app (mentioned before) which stores it for syncing the metadata back to iTunes.
Is there a way to set the GMMP 'broadcast' to include skipped track info? Or maybe downgrade to a previous build which worked great for me?
thanks

Also in GMMP you can try disabling the "broadcast metadata" option. I would guess isyncr should be listening for the simple last fm intents as well as the basic android ones if he wants his app to be compatible with the largest amount of music players So to sum things up.. 3 sets of intents can get sent android music player - turned on/off via "broadcast metadata" (on by default) simple last fm - turned on/off via simple last fm setting scrobbledroid - turned on/off via scrobble droid setting here is 1.5.0.3 if you need it: www.mediafire.com/download/63yaq8jvlil0c93/gmmp-1.5.0.3.apk

Brilliant! Turning of the 'broadcast metadata' feature did the trick.
Thanks a lot!

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I'm having the same issue with 1.6.7. Turning off 'broadcast metadata' feature didn't work.
iSyncr has a "play XX% of a track to update playcount" option, and it's currently set to 90%. Is there any way to get this to work properly?

Problem solved by uninstalling PowerAMP.
Long story: As a former PowerAMP user, I was suffering from the aforementioned issue, so I tried switching to other music player apps and came across with GMMP. However, I ended up with the same issue, as posted above. After contacting iSyncr support though, I was told that it was a PowerAMP issue. I was having this issue with GMMP only because I still got PowerAMP installed on the phone. After uninstalling PowerAMP, the issue was gone.
Now I'm happy to say that I'm gonna stick with GMMP. Cheers.
