Thanks -The shuffle button is pretty accessible on now playing.. the icon indicates the shuffle mode.. white for shuffle queue and colored for shuffle collection -Multi selection is something i really want to do but still involves a bunch more work before it can be done -Yup right now smart playlists can only work on fields saved to the database, comment is not one of those because comment fields can be used for many things (and many time lots of garbage/useless data is put there) and could potentially bloat the database. I did want to eventually add an option for the user to choose which fields to scan into the database. -I can add year navigation to the request list.. what would it be.. Year -> Album -> Songs ?

Hello, Ok but i have to previously go to track tab, check "all songs", then go back to now playing tab and check shuffle button two times, isn't it ? It would be easier to start shuffle of all my library from a simple button on from the menu.., ot from a button always displayed from all tabs. Ok I use this field to organize all my smarts playlists: i choose this field because it is the most used and so the most compliant field other than classi field like "artist, album..etc...". I add keyword like "plme" , "plmywife", "plchildrens" ..etc.. and all tracks i don't want in a playlist are clean in this field. I didn't found another field i could use to do this without add garbage to a useful info (artist, album..etc..). Actually i use Mytunes Pro to create smart playlist because it support the comment field, but i don't use its player and i can use smart playlist created from mytunes, with others music app. But actually i have an issue with this way since playlists are listed in android music player, but are empty I like your app ergonomy and usability, i've tried a lot of music app and yours is in my top 3, but with these missing features.. It isn't an essentiel feature for me but it could be cool if you add it. Yes, Year\Album\Song is good Thanks

nope.. just turn on shuffle collection.. its ignores whats in the queue
when making playlists you need to create m3u playlists.. GMMP uses its own database so it does not read playlists that are in the android media library.. a properly exported playlist should have a playlist file associated with it for best compatibility

I didn't found another field i could use to do this without add garbage to a useful info (artist, album..etc..). I was in the same situation, but I wanted to use this program because it is the best I have found. As a workaround, I used the "Total Disks" tag. Used tagging program to list only a particular group based on comment, than assigned a number to that group. I started at 5,since I don't have more that 4 total disks in a single collection. This left important tags untouched. You can build a Smart Playlist in GMMP for "total tracks"=5 or whatever numbers you chose and it will do the same as using the comment tag..

it doesn't work for me, so i did an uninstall/reinstall of gonemad, then it did a new scan. Then, i tried to press the shuffle button on the now playing tab, two time to make its icon blue (shuffle collection), then i push the play button and nothing happen. I found the probleme: i have to run at least one time the playlist from mytunes to enable it in the android database. Now i can play smart playlist created from mytunes, with android stock player or google music, but i don't see playlists in gonemad I wasn't seeing also in mediamonkey but after i hcreated one simple playlist in mediamonkey, its scanner found all my mytunes smart playlist. Ok, so i don't have others solution than use its own smartlist builder, isn't it ? No way to force it to support playlist from android database ? It's a good tip but more complicated than use a playlist name.

if you just did a fresh install you need to select a song to play first, every song after that is shuffled
as i said anything that is purely stored in the android database is not visible to gmmp. whatever you are using to create playlists should let you export a playlist file.. which gmmp can read

Ok, i understand. With mytunes, i can save my smart playlist to simple playlist and so use it in gmmp, but it complicate the process. I think i will use mediamonkey for the moment but keep an eye on your app, "comment" smart playlist and multiselect is actually the big missing features for me. Thanks

multi select is planned for 2.0 (1.5 is in beta currently and is the last major update of the 1.x versions)
