So I downloaded the trial thinking for $3.00 if it will normalize the volume on my tunes as I'm listening it's worth. Well replay gain aint working for squat. It goes wicked low(lower than stock app even) on some tunes and then the next track by a different artist is wicked loud. In fact I'm adjusting the volume more now than I was with the stock app. Anyone tell me how to make replay gain work, I got 13 days left on the free trial, and If I can't get it working by then I certainly aint gonna pony up $3.00 for an app that don't do what it claims...

what device do you have? Send some of your files with replaygain that arent working like you would expect to gonemadsoftware@gmail.com
It sounds like reading in the wrong replaygain value from the tags
replaygain works correctly on all the test files i've used.. but most of them were generated using foobar2000.. it is possible that other tools that calculate replaygain write the tags differently

Replay gain tags? How do those get there? I thought it was a little widget that analyzed the tunes just as it queues them up to adjust on the fly...
Are saying I need to run all my music thru something like mp3gain and that puts the replay gain tags in there? I was under the impression the mp3gain altered the original files to normalize playback in WMP and such.
My android device is a Samsung S3.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replaygainyes you need to have your music analyzed by another utility. mp3gain might change the original files (but i think thats an option setting.. you can just generate tags with it) A good tool will calculate the gain adjustments needed and store them into the replaygain tags in the mp3/flac/etc. GMMP reads those tags and adjust the gain Most people recommend mediamonkey or foobar2000
